Upcoming dates:
ALERT: GBCO meals have been suspended because of COVID19. We do not know what the future of our meals program looks like.
Early in 2014 a community outreach group was born with the goal to address some of the needs of people in the greater Barboursville area. Several churches, concerned citizens, and community organizations got together and decided to combine efforts on several fronts: a free monthly community meal, outreach to seniors, and outreach to low-income families with children.
GBCO's main focus has been a free monthly meal, for anyone, anyone who wants to eat with others, anyone who doesn't want to eat alone, folks who have more month than money, anyone.
On October 6, 2019, we had our fourth HUNGER WALK within the city limits of Barboursville, raising funds to be distributed among ECCHO, the Facing Hunger Foodbank, and Church World Service. We raised $1,500: Click here to see the news report from the first year! Contact Pastor Kerry for sponsor information.
GBCO meals are hosted at the Barboursville Senior Center.
GBCO is a non-profit organization. Donations can be mailed to GBCO / PO Box 293 / Barboursville WV 25504
