fall fest unity project
During the course of the Barboursville Fall Fest (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Sept 15-17, 2016) close to 200 people from the Bville area participated in the "Unity Project" (See www.UnityProject.net for the inspiration.)
Community members were invited to indicate identifying statements that are true about themselves, and to connect 10-foot PVC poles with yarn to make a kind of community art representation of who was there. What a variety of people we have, and we are all one!
Look below for the identifying statements we used in 2016.
The Unity Project was done in 2017 and 2018 as well, with new sets of questions.
Every identifying statement was claimed by at least 2-3 people, some statements were claimed by a majority of participants, and check out the pictures of the boards where people wrote their own responses. What a variety of people we have, and we are all one!
Email FirstChurchBville@gmail.com if you have questions or comments about Bville's Unity Project 2016
By the way: if you right-click on a picture you can open it in another window and it'll be larger!
Participants were encouraged to post their own selfies on social media, using hashtags #unityproject #welivebig #bvillefallfest #betterbville, so you may find more pictures out there!
